In 2015 we were awarded a grant of £17,000 from the UK Government’s Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. The grant will help meet the costs of urgent roof repairs and will ensure our Category A listed church building is watertight and safe.
The repair work took take place in October 2015. This roof repair grant was one of 502 grants for urgent roof repairs to places of worship across the UK from a total £30 million funding package announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The National Heritage Memorial Fund
(NHMF) administers the fund on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). We are grateful to the UK Government for funding these much-needed repairs.
